RSC board is only for machines in old version
▪ If you never configure the RSC board, please use ‘rsc-config’ to configure it at first.
▪ If you have already configured the RSC board, do following steps to reboot RSC board:
Reset RSC and Change the RSC root password:
# cd /usr/platform/<platform name>/rsc
# ./rscadm resetrsc
Are you sure you want to reboot RSC (y/n)? y
<waiting about 5 minutes>
#
# ./rscadm userpassword root

Re-enter Password:
▪ ALOM SC board is only for the newer machines
If you are in OBP or Solaris environment, please type “#.” to get the ALOM prompt.
The first time you connect to ALOM, you are invited to set the admin’s password . admin is the root login for ALOM .
Once it’s done, you are connected to ALOM under the prompt “sc> “
You have to check the value of the parameter sc_powerstatememory
sc>showsc
If not set it to true with the following command:
sc>setsc sc_xxx
Now you can use ‘console’ command to return to console mode:
sc> console
