Job Responsibilities:
Server support (i.e. maintain Microsoft and Linux servers, monitor and maintain backups of Windows servers and provide advanced troubleshooting of server applications);
Install, configure, support and maintain operating systems and software;
Workstation support (i.e. build, support and maintain workstations, clean and perform preventative maintenance on equipment, install software applications, set up printers and scanners, replace monitors, set up new computers);
Provide hardware end-user support;
Assist in training of end-users as needed, and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Four years degree in Computer Science;
5+ years' experience in an IT/IS support capacity with a firm grasp of basic networking principles;
More than 8 years in a Web administration or development capacity;
Must have working knowledge of DHCP, DNS, IIS, WINS, and other common services;
Must have working knowledge of Unix, Linux, Windows NT/2000/XP and MS Office applications;
Must have working knowledge of active directory, domain administration, and server security;
Ability to be on call 24/7 to provide emergency support;
Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off;
Ability to read, writes, speak and understand the English language.
